The Washington State Parks Foundation has funded a range of projects statewide, from new trails to playgrounds, interpretive centers to habitat restoration initiatives.

Bottle Beach

The Foundation funded a project to restore vegetation at Bottle Beach, a 71-acre park that includes a mile of saltwater shoreline on Grays Harbor as well as upland woods, sloughs and marshes.

Cama Beach State Park, the first new state park in more than a decade, opened in June 2008 and represents one of the Foundation’s largest commitments to date.

With more than 2 million visitors annually, Deception Pass State Park is the most visited park in Washington. It is one of the most beautiful parks in the state and has great environmental value and importance.

Gingko Forest

The Foundation funded interpretive panels at the visitor’s center in Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park. The panels tell the story of the Ice Age floods, which carved new landscapes across a four-state area during the last Ice Age and are among the most significant geological events in Washington’s history.
